Thank you for your interest in attending Mindful Valley’s Mindfulness Meditation classes. The weekly groups are more advanced and require that you have taken a beginner class or have prior Mindfulness mediation experience. If you are a beginner, we highly recommend that you attend a six week Beginning Mindfulness class first. Beginning classes teach you the nuts and bolts of Mindfulness meditation/practice including how to deal with the difficulties that arise during meditation and how to bring mindfulness into your daily life in order to manage emotions and life more effectively.

If you ARE NOT a beginner in mindfulness meditation, below is the information for the weekly meditation groups and other details including addresses.

Format: (subject to change from session to session)
– We start each session with 5-10 minutes checking-in about how the week went
– Practice sitting / walking meditation (guided)
– Continue the session with Q & A about the practice. (you have the choice to pass)
– Teacher then provides a talk / reading or a mindfulness exercise to better aid the understanding of the practice and to take the participants further in their experience of mindfulness
– Emphasis on Mindfulness/ loving-kindness-compassion and daily awareness practices towards stress reduction and the art of effective living

Fee Structure:
Sitting groups are offered in the spirit of generosity based on donation. Suggested donation is $15. You may feel free to pay any amount your heart is moved to do so.

Volunteer or Work-exchange Opportunities:No one is turned away for lack of funds. Let us know if you are interested in. You may offer your time and skills in exchange for attending ongoing classes. We hope to be able to accomdate this opportunity for you.

Orientation for first timers: Please arrive a few minutes early to your first visit so that you may become familiar to the space, the teacher and the group.
