A year has passed and time to celebrate our new center in Tarzana!
After 8 years of providing Mindfulness in the San Fernando Valley we opened our center in September of 2015. In the past 12 months, we opened the center, re-branded our name from Mindful Valley to Perfectly Here, added a new staff member and two other teachers, implemented several programs: UCLA MAPS I & MAPS II, Cultivating Self Compassion, Deepening Courses,Youth Mindfulness, Mindfulness in Relationships, Mindfulness for adults with ADHD, Buddha’s Core Teachings plus three weekly sitting groups and workshops to healthcare providers. We’ve taught over 600 students in the first year of our opening. Most importantly, we started the Community First Responder Stress Relief Initiative to bring Mindfulness to First Responders and their family members.
Our student feedback surveys indicate a 95% success in accomplishing our center’s Vision “To light up the hearts of all individuals who cross our path, to feel whole and connected to the world.” As a successful organization, we live our vision every step of the way.
All of this has only been possible by the dedication of our teachers, staff members, volunteers and the generous support of our community members.
As we embark into our 2nd year at this location, we envision to be serving as many of our 30,000 First Responders in the San Fernando Valley as we can, in addition to other family members of the general public.
Sunday, September 25th from 4-8pm
