    Summer Mindfulness: A Great Time to Focus

    Four Weeks, (3 sessions per week = 12 sessions)

    Ages 5-10: Starting July 9 to July 30th (Tuesday, Thursday, From 2:30pm to 4:pm); Sat 9:30 to 11am

    Ages 11-16: Starting July 8 to July 29th (Monday, Wednesday, Friday From 2:30pm to 4:pm)


    Mindful Kid & Teen classes teach students how to listen, pay attention and be calm.

    “Pay attention!” “Calm down!” “Listen!” These are the directions children often hear from adults. But do your children know how?  Mindfulness is the how.

    Our six-week Mindful Kid & Teen classes teach children and teen the simple yet profound tools of managing emotions, paying attention and being calm. Through a variety of activities, children learn where their feelings come from and how to better manage those feelings. When the child’s ability to concentrate is increased also improvement in school, sports, and other activities are increased. Scientific studies have shown, children who learn mindfulness are happier, healthier and more well-rounded.

    Our Mindful Kid & Teen classes are all about gaining the experience of Mindfulness as it is vital for practitioner of any age to have a firsthand experience of the benefits. Rather than taking “just another class,” our students are given tools they can use for life. A common reaction from our adult students is “I wish I had learned this as a kid.”

    What is Mindfulness?

    Mindfulness is the ability to feel one’s feelings and emotions without dramatizing nor minimizing its meaning. Being present, aware and attentive, responding rather than reacting.

    Research has shown Mindfulness:

    • Decreases stress and anxiety
    • Promotes self-reflection and self-calming
    • Improves impulse control
    • Develops natural conflict resolution skills

    6914 Canby Ave, Suite 103 Reseda, CA 91335 – The venue is in a business plaza with US Fitness center. There are plenty of FREE Parking. Please arrive a few minutes early to your first session so that you can find the place and settle in.

    What to Bring:

    All you need is comfortable clothing. Chairs and cushions are provided.
