Perfectly Here is happy to announce a six-week, Introductory Mindfulness class on Mindful Parenting. Most importantly, new studies demonstrate dramatically positive result for both parents and children.
Weathering our children’s emotional storms can be difficult. Furthermore, instead of calming the storm, we often find ourselves churning the waves even further. Managing our own emotions and behaviors is the key to teaching our children how to manage theirs. By noticing our own feelings when we’re in conflict with our child, learning to pause before responding in anger and listening carefully to our child’s viewpoint even when disagreeing with it, we as parents can reflect an equanimity that leads to a happier, healthier home environment.
Through a variety of teaching strategies, hands-on activities, group discussions and reflection, and meditation participants will practice Mindfulness and learn tools of Mindfulness to manage and lessen the stress of everyday parenting challenges.
Who Should Attend?
Everyone in a parenting or teaching role. Dads, moms, grandparents, caretakers, nurses, teachers, school counsellors, etc. With children of any age or number.
