Thursdays, 7-9pm starting July 18, 2019
Happiness is what all beings seek. Isn’t it? Do you not seek it? Well, according to our constitution it is our birth- right to PURSUE HAPPINESS. That’s right. However, by the way our lives has been set up, it seems that we are constantly pursuing happiness and it’s one step or for most ten steps ahead. Here, we can explore some of the teachings of wise teachers who have seen how we can actually feel happiness and peacefulness at any time, any place and under any circumstances.
Mindfulness of Five Realities: For Happiness
Is part of our Beyond Mindfulness Series designed by Dr. Motaghy to satisfy students’ desire and curiosity to go beyond Mindfulness. To enhance their practice and expand their understanding of the obstacles in the way of happiness and to develop the qualities that can lead to peacefulness and happiness. The Mindfulness of Five Realities: For Happiness series is offered in five sections to provide a continuous period of time and space for building community with peers who are on the same path, a sangha. Furthermore, students who desire to commit to their own growth and development have a layout of courses for 11 consecutive months to practice with same teacher and classmates . The topics picked for these series are based on instructors own practice, growth, and the understanding of what maybe missed when students take random mindfulness or Buddhist classes/workshops. This is to help cover important aspects of the Buddha’s teachings that support the development of Mindfulness.
These courses are designed in a secular and relateable language and practice with life examples that pertain to the students’ personal /professional life and experience. Take your practice and transformation to the next level.
Below you’ll find the Mindfulness of Five Realities: For Happiness topics for each individual section. The beauty of the course and the way it has been designed is that anyone can come into any of the sections and start from there. Each topic stands alone and works as a group of collective topics that cover what’s important to cultivate.

I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free.
If people knew how hard I had to work to gain my mastery, it would not seem so wonderful at all.
Every block of stone has a statue inside it and it is the task of the sculptor to discover it.
To discover the angel in us, we have to carve the mind and shape it, until we free the angel within.
