“Pay attention!” “Calm down!” “Listen!”
These are the directions children often hear from adults. But do your children know how?
Mindfulness is the how. Our six-week course teaches children the simple yet profound tools of mindfulness. Through a variety of activities, the child learns where his/her feelings come from and how to better manage those emotions. A skillful mindfulness practice increases a child’s ability to concentrate which leads to improvement in school, sports, and other activities. Overall, studies have shown, children who learn mindfulness are happier, healthier and more well-rounded.
It’s all about experience. It is not enough for the child to learn how Mindfulness helps, it is vital he/she experiences the many benefits. This way, rather than “just another class,” our students are given tools they can use for life. A common reaction from our adult students is “I wish I had learned this as a kid.”
Give Your Children this Gift and Enhance Their Present and Future Lives.
What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is the ability to feel one’s feelings and emotions without dramatizing nor minimizing its meaning. Being present, aware and attentive, responding rather than reacting.

- Decreases stress and anxiety
- Promotes self-reflection and self-calming
- Improves impulse control
- Develops natural conflict resolution skills
- Improves self-esteem
Schools teaching Mindfulness report:
- Higher test scores on standardized tests
- Fewer disciplinary issues
- Less social conflicts
- Fewer reports of bullying
- Enhanced positive school climate
