Reducing Obstacles in Meditation and Daily Mindfulness covers how to overcome or pass through five well-established obstacles that can show up for anyone in meditation and Mindfulness. Often these obstacles are subtle other times difficult to overcome. Obstacles to meditation and mindfulness are the same obstacles we encounter during our daily lives, in our relationships, and keep us from feeling at ease, clear and kind. Obstacles to meditation and mindfulness include lethargy, restlessness, aversion, craving, and doubt are major obstacles that start to grow in our psyche from childhood. Learning to recognize and manage these obstacles will enhance our ability to be Mindful, present, and peaceful under any circumstance.
General practice topics include:
- Continuing to deepen the practice of Mindfulness towards greater happiness
- Cultivating deeper sitting and walking meditation Deeper Metta (Loving/Kindness) practices
- Cultivating a richer understanding of meditation
- Working with physical discomfort in meditation
- Working towards spiritual development (emotional maturity)
- Enhancing compassion and love for self and others
This 6-week course is for experienced meditators and or those who have taken MAPS I & one other MAPS II.
